4 Year Well Check

We had Becca's four year well check today. She is 39.5 inches tall (50th percentile) and 31 pounds (below the 25th percentile). [She wears size 3T, even though the waist is a bit big!] She was her normal, chatty self for the nurse and doctor, and answered all questions appropriately. She even sang Christmas carols for everyone. (She was thrilled that this visit required no shots. Hate to tell her, but she has a second H1N1 in early January!)

Christmas is Here!

Yes, Christmas is here for the Paces. Friday, Daddy brought home a scarf he was given at work. Notice who is sporting the scarf in almost all of the pictures? Yep, she LOVES it!

We headed to St. Louis on Friday for Christmas with Victor's family. Becca opened presents, presents, and more presents. Her favorite was the airport terminal and plane, complete with numerous small, tiny, accessories!

Victor and I were able to go on a mini-date Saturday before all of the family came over. We enjoyed seeing everyone, and Becca really loved playing with all of her new toys. We also had a "fashion show" and she modeled her new clothes for everyone, and then insisted that her "audience" clap for her as she twirled and danced!

We went out Saturday night to look at lights, but Becca wasn't all that interested. We've found that she likes multi-colored lights all on one tree...not solid white, not solid red, not even solid yellow. Other than the multi-colors, she's not too thrilled!

We enjoyed our drive home Sunday, as there was a light dusting of snow on the ground for much of the trip. Enough to be pretty in the trees and woods, but nothing on the road!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Medley

Her words may not always be correct, but she certainly has spirit! At least she now knows that Rudolph's nose "glows" not "blows".

12th Day of Christmas

She can do the entire song, but I thought I'd only share the finale!

Smart Fit Park

Becca enjoys playing Smart Fit Park for the first time.

Another Fun Weekend

We've had another busy weekend. Saturday morning, Becca and I headed to Zoo Tots while Daddy attended a meeting. Lots of Christmas crafts, which involved lots of glitter and glue! This was my last class with Becca, as in January she will move to the pre-school group, and I am no longer invited! (Sniff, sniff)

We went to a Home for the Holidays matinee performance by the Symphony Saturday afternoon. As soon as the music started, Becca said, "I wish I could play that pretty!" We heard a reading/singing of The Polar Express, songs from Home Alone, Hallelujah Chorus, and the program ended with a Christmas singalong, our favorite part. Then Becca got treats from Santa and some ice cream and punch. What fun!

We came home and watched Christmas videos, then went out and looked at some lights.

It was cold and rainy for most of the weekend, so we opted not to do the Christmas parade, Christmas at the Farm, or an outdoor nativity. Thank goodness, because I don't think I would have survived.

Sunday we went to Mass and then out to lunch. We came home to a quiet afternoon, and Becca played her Smart Fit Park for the first time. (It's like a WiiFit for kids.) She absolutely loved it!
